If you live somewhere with 4 distinct seasons (like NY, NJ, CT, IL, MA, ME, etc.), the Classic duvet insert is designed to keep you warm from late fall through early spring, while the Lightweight version is ideal for late spring to early fall. For extra warmth in colder months, two same-size duvet inserts can be easily clipped together.

If you live in a milder climate without dramatic seasonal changes (like CA, TX, AZ, FL, etc.), the Lightweight duvet insert is likely the perfect year-round choice.

From our experience, the classic duvet keeps most people cozy at a room temperature around 68°F (20°C) during winter. For reference: we live in NYC, and the classic duvet kept us perfectly warm this past winter. We switched to the lightweight one around mid-April.

At sāng, we use only long mulberry silk fibers for our duvet inserts, ensuring exceptional quality. With proper care, these duvet inserts can last 8 to 10 years or even longer, providing enduring comfort and luxurious quality, night after night.

Silk is a natural fiber, and like all natural things, it responds well to gentle care. Follow these simple steps to keep your Cloud Duvet feeling its best for years to come.

Use a duvet cover. Always use a duvet cover to protect the silk fill and extend its lifespan.

Spot clean only. Avoid machine washing or dry cleaning. When needed, spot clean with a neutral pH, silk-friendly detergent and allow to air dry completely.

Air it out regularly. Every few weeks, hang your duvet in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight to keep it fresh. You can also tumble it in the dryer on low heat for about 15 minutes to gently restore its loft.

Store with care. At the end of the season, gently pat your duvet to remove any settled dust. Store it loosely in the storage bag it came with, in a cool dry place without compression. This helps the silk fibers maintain their natural softness and breathability.

With the right care, your sāng Cloud Duvet is made to last 8 to 10 years or longer.
